Sydney Dog Rescue & Pet Adoption
We are a group of volunteers that rescue, transport and foster care abandoned pets from the major NSW pounds. Since starting in 2009 we have saved and rehomed close to 800 pets. Our aim is to rehome all these beautiful pets into loving forever homes, giving them a second chance in life, whilst educating the community on responsible pet ownership & the joys of owning a pound pet.
Once saved, these rescue pets are placed in foster homes until they find their forever homes. By placing our pets in foster homes we are able to assess their temperament and the way they interact with people & animals. Every rescue pet has a different personality and we feel it is important to allow each pet to be in a loving & suitable environment in which they will thrive and learn to adapt into their new lifestyle.
We rescue dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds & personalities and have recently started saving kittens. We feel every pet is special and deserves a second chance at life. We believe there is an owner for every pet out there and it is just a matter of finding them. We assess prospective homes in order to best match a pet to their new owner. All of our pets are rehomed with a two week trial and we recommend utilising this two week trial to ensure they have found a pet that is a good match for their family.
Please note: We are NOT taking in surrenders. We recommend contacting your local pound, RSPCA or AWL if you are looking to surrender your pet. If you have found a lost cat or dog, contact your local pound or take the pet to your local vet to be scanned.
No Kill Pet Rescue is a registered Charity:
