Giving Dogs a Second Chance at Life
We are a small group of friendly volunteers that rescue, transport and foster care for the unloved, abandoned and unwanted animals from the major pounds in NSW. Our aim is to rehome all these beautiful dogs to loving forever homes where they are able to have a second chance in life. Our aim is to rehabilitate these dogs whilst educating the community on responsible pet ownership and the joys of rescuing a poundie!

2015 NKPR Calendar is Ready to be Ordered
After the success of the 2014 Calendar, we have this year produced a stunning 2015 Calendar, featuring 17 once unwanted NKPR foster dogs, beautifully photographed by Shoot Ya Pooch Pet Photography.
Each dog has a special message to send, no matter the breed, age or size, there is a rescue dog out there for you. Funds raised from the sales will go to help cover our expenses, allowing us to continue doing all the great rescue work we do.

We always have a large group of rescue dogs that are looking for new homes. These rescue dogs are placed in foster homes until they find their forever homes. By placing our dogs in foster homes we are able to assess their temperament and the way they interact with other people and animals. Every rescue dog has a different personality and we feel it is important to allow each dog to be in a loving and suitable environment in which they will thrive and learn to adapt into their new lifestyle.
We rescue dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds and personalities. We feel every dog is special and deserves a second chance at life. We believe there is an owner for every dog out there and it is just a matter of finding them. We assess prospective homes in order to best match a dog to their new owner. All of our dogs are rehomed with a two week trial and we recommend utilising this two week trial to ensure they have found a dog that is a good match for their family.
